Press Pack

I've been sending out quite a lot of press releases and what-not for the event in Montrose on 9th October this year so I was quite pleased to get the first bit of coverage today. Here is the article from the 'Courier' (Angus & Mearns edition - click on the image to get bigger text) featuring a pic of (L to R) me (Rachel - organiser), Ken Bruce (sponsor) and Raymond Vettese (one of the two headlining poets). It's not even a bad picture of us all (posing in the local library)! Thanks photographer (Andy Thompson). Did he have one of those magic cameras or what?

    Raymond has one of those of faces makes him look like he is devouring a yummy piece of cake with his eyes. The naughty boy who daren't say no :-)!

    I wish I could attend your event. For four years I organised a monthly night of poetry, story-telling, music, dancing (less frequently, alas) and film at an arts centre where I worked. It is the achievement of which I've felt the proudest to this day. Everytime I hear of, read about, or see events like yours happening, my little heart starts hopping about joyfully.

    You're very kind. It's a fluke though. Can't remember when I last went to the hairdresser's and I barely use a hairbrush never mind anything more complicated or electric.
    And now back to the poetry..
